Come take a peek behind the closed doors of some of Galena’s most historic and gorgeous homes during the 50th annual Tour of Historic Galena Homes! September 23rd and 24th, 2017 in Galena, Il.
Galena is known for its beautiful and well-preserved 19th-century buildings. People come from all over the country to soak up our town’s history and charm.
Once a year, the Tour of Historic Galena Homes opens the doors on some of the area’s most historic and striking homes to the public. Lovers of history, American workmanship, and even just curious homeowners enjoy a rare opportunity to view the interiors of some of Galena’s 19th century homes.
Best of all, the homes featured on the tour change from year to year. This means that, even if you’ve taken the Tour of Historic Galena Homes before, going again is a new experience. In fact, a home can only get back on the tour if it has had significant work done or hasn’t been part of the tour in years.

Captain Bates House, 1203 Third Street
Aldrich House, 900 Third Street
